Can You Handle The Tim Tebow Workout?

tim tebow workoutIf we are sure of one thing, it's that the Tim Tebow Workout consists of pure old fashioned hard work.  Let's face it, it is doubtful that Tim will ever win a Dancing With The Stars competition.  Then again, if we have learned one thing about him, it's that doubting him at any kind of competition is a bad idea.

He will never be the prototypical NFL quarterback.  He may never win any style points.  However, style points are not what the QB is after.  The bottom line is that Tebow just wants to WIN football games.  And the Tim's workout is all about helping him do just that.  Tebow's excellent conditioning has helped him to stay fresh in the 4th Quarter when the opposing defenses are sucking wind.

When Tebow was still at the University of Florida he trained under then strength and conditioning coach Mickey Marotti.  Marotti has now moved onto Ohio State University, but the lessons he taught Tim have stuck with him.  In a recent article in Mens Health, Marotti revealed part of the conditioning component of Tim's workout.  Ben Hill Griffin Stadium has roughly 1,500 steps, and Tim would run every one of them.  This would increase his endurance, then he would spend time doing speed intervals to build power and explosiveness.

So go down to your local high school, or find a stair stepper at the local fitness center and see how much fun 1,500 steps is.  When asked about it, Tim said "it's as much a mental test as a physical one."  And we all have seen how Tebow does when it comes to tests of mental toughness.  Like I said, there isn't really anything fancy to this portion of the Tim's Workout, just goes to show that hard work does pay off.
