Some people think of him as the next Mike Alstott but faster, the comparison is parallel all the way down to the Peyton Hillis workout. Peyton Hillis caught huge lime light this past season when he shocked the NFL with 1200 yards rushing. His running style is relentless for a running back especially because he's a 240 lb BEAST.
The thing that made Peyton so successful though was his unconventional training. When asked about his workout he replied, "Yeah, I pull trucks when I was in high school and college. A lot of people get really interested in that. It's something my brother and I did in high school and I've done it ever since."
Now this sounds identical to the same training Alstott did while at his time in Purdue. If 2 complete beast NFL backs trained this way it must work!!
While training for the combine he followed a complete off-season program to really crush his personal records. Even though he didn't perform the greatest compared to other running backs he still persistently gave his all.
I give him all the credit because he is constantly quoted for saying wherever, whenever the opportunity arises he will give it his all no matter what and he did just that. This past season Peyton lit up defense after defense by pounding each and every run as if it was his last.
This is all simply done because he busted his ass since he was in high school. It's about training like a beast and Peyton is a prime example of how to do it.
